Rehabilitation and Conversion of the former Leroy Merlin DIY adjacent to the shopping centre into a shopping mall.

Considering the dilapidated state of the building and the current evolution of the sales programme, a major rehabilitation of the existing building was necessary. The nature of the land (12 m of peat) and the existing structure (post-tensioned beams with continuity on supports) made the operation more complex. Afterwards, an extension was built to accommodate medium-sized areas.

A few figures

Rehabilitation of the existing on 12,100 m² :

  • 9,300 m² of demolition and reconstruction of the floor supported on piles
  • 2,500 m² of demolition and total reconstruction for one part of the building to allow the development of medium-sized areas on two levels

Creation of  a 2,200 m² floor on the first level

Creation of a 1,700 m² pile-mounted forecourt

The extension of 6,400 m² welcomes 9 new medium-sized stores, 16 new shops and 2 restaurants.
