Parfums Christian Dior has been based in Saint-Jean-de-Braye since 1973. The house of luxury wished to create a place of meeting and conviviality in the heart of the site for the 2,000 employees of the brand’s largest production plant.
The winner of the competition, Palissad Architectures designed a harmonious and transparent project, widely opening up towards wood.
The building and the interior design favorises the use of wood. The vast roof is vegetated and the framework is made of glued laminated wood.
BEG Ingénierie was in charge of the technical design (shell and technical work packages), the work management and the scheduling-steering-coordination of the building site.
This project was awarded with the Energy 2 Carbon 1 label (E2C1 – low energy consumption and reduced carbon footprint).
