Ginko is the name of the first eco-neighborhood, carried out by Bouygues Immobilier in Bordeaux.
Divided into some thirty blocks, the Ginko district offers the residents a variety of housing, leisure facilities and services, as well as commercial areas on the shores of Bordeaux lake.
In close cooperation with the architectural firm L35, BEG Ingénierie acted as a fluid and electricity engineering office for the design and the construction of 70 commercial spaces in the last block. Three levels of parking lots were built.
BEG Ingénierie was also in charge of verifying the conformity of the shop fitting files against the technical requirements of the project.
Cultura, Intermarché, Intersport are among the retailers, along with other leisure spaces such as a climbing wall.
The site is supplied with hot water and heated by a biomass boiler room, which required the installation of sub-stations for the entire building.
With a total surface area of 27,000 sq. m, the project is a well-balanced ensemble open on the residential district and the landscaped spaces.
